Q What living arrangements are available at Haven Manor?
A Haven Manor has a wide range of choices to meet your needs, tastes and budget.

Lincoln's College View locations offer private & semi-private suites with three-quarter baths, furnished free of charge.

Our Hickman location has two styles of apartments: with kitchenettes and three-quarter baths, some have patios with electrical for your favorite holiday decorations. (Furnished apartments are available for a small, additional charge.)

Most of our residents choose to enjoy the soothing, state-of-the-art whirlpool spa for bathing.


Q Are your facilities accessible?
A Our facilities are barrier free and are designed to serve those who may have physical limitations. The smaller, home-like atmosphere makes it easy to get around. We also have staff who will be happy to assist you.

Q Does Haven Manor provide transportation?
A Yes. We have outings to restaurants, the zoo, parks, area rides, grocery and retail stores, fishing trips, and many other activities.

Q Is other transportation available?
A Other transportation options include Transport Plus, local handivan and bus service, and taxi. Many area churches also provide transportation.

If further transportation is needed, Haven Manor staff may be available assist. Various charges apply depending upon the type of transport and staff accompaniment.

Q Can I bring my pet?
A Haven Manor can usually accomodate your pet, which is unique for a facility! Please contact us for more details.

Q How much does it cost to stay at Haven Manor? How do you determine the cost?
A The cost is based upon three things: your choice of facility, your choice of accommodations, and your care assessment. Our staff will be happy to provide a free assessment. The assessment can be done at your convenience, at your home or anywhere else that you desire.

Q Are there any large upfront fees, deposits, leases, or move-out fees?
A There is a non-refundable $500 administrative fee (does not apply to those admitted for short stay care). Rates are "month to month" with no long term contracts.

Other companies often have leases, additional fees or buy-in (sometimes as high as $5,000).

Q Do you accept Medicaid?
A Yes, a percentage of our occupancy is reserved for our residents who have spent their funds and go onto the Medicaid Waiver program. Unfortunately, we can't ensure that all residents can remain at Haven Manor on Medicaid due to the low reimbursement rate. If we do not have a Medicaid Waiver availablity, we will do our best to help you find placement.

Q Will my long term care insurance pay for Haven Manor?
A Your policy may pay for your care at Haven Manor. We would be happy to contact your insurance company and help verify your benefits.

Q Do I have to get up early? What are your breakfast hours?
A Whether you're an early bird or a late riser, wake up on your own or want a 'wake up call', we're happy to accomodate you. We have open breakfast hours and have over a dozen breakfast selections from which to choose!

Q Do people who come to Haven Manor get better?
A Lots of residents improve after coming to Haven Manor. Friendships develop, activities are stimulating and theraputic, meal choices are tasty and well balanced, and health supervision is provided by experienced professionals. Some people come to Haven Manor to complete recovery from an injury or surgery, or to finish rehabilitation in a home-like supportive environment.
